Blackcurrant pen device Vape in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Blackcurrant in Bristol: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on blackcurrant: 23 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Blackcurrant in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a blackcurrant pen device really costs in Bristol
We run blackcurrant the same way in Bristol: same pen device, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested blackcurrant in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Is blackcurrant legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should blackcurrant start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
