Cola starter kit Vape in Bristol: the order shortlist
Cola in Bristol: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What cola costs in Bristol
Cola in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run cola the same way in Bristol: same starter kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola starter kit really costs in Bristol
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.94 per 10 ml.
How we tested cola in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.94 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for cola in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does cola in a starter kit last?
In Bristol we measured 8 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.94 per 10 ml liquid plus £61 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
