Tropical box mod Vape in Bristol: the online shortlist
Tropical in Bristol: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
A tropical box mod from the online options in Bristol costs about £3.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run tropical the same way in Bristol: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: tropical in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical box mod really costs in Bristol
A tropical box mod from the online options in Bristol costs about £3.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Treating the advertised £49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.5 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
