Tropical sub-ohm kit Vape in Bristol: the compare shortlist
Tropical in Bristol: 13 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.63 per 10 ml.
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical sub-ohm kit really costs in Bristol
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.63 per 10 ml.
How we tested tropical in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
